Remains Found In The Seach For The Body Of 11-Year-Old Boy

Ellis County (CBSDFW.COM)  – Police say they have discovered remains consistent with what they are looking for in the search for the body of an 11-year-old boy who may have been killed as much as a year ago.

Dallas police Sgt. Brenda Nichols, supervisor of the child abuse unit confirms the bones of a child or small adult were found around 2 p.m. in a creek in Ellis County on Saturday.

Police started searching in the area around 7 a.m. on Saturday. Local authorities were able to drain water from the creek making the area searchable for the first time.

Since the discovery police have halted the search. They are waiting to hear back from medical examiners to see if the bones are a match to those of 11-year old Jonathan Ramsey.

Police also found a sleeping bag near the remains. The arrest affidavit for Jonathan Ramsey’s father, 34-year-old Aaron Ramsey says Ramsey put his son’s body in a sleeping bag after he had died.

Dallas Police arrested Aaron Ramsey, 34 and his wife Elizabeth Ramsey, 31 on March 31. Investigators believed they had deprived the 11-year-old of food until he died and then left his body in wooded area south of Ennis between six months and a year ago.
