Overturned 18-Wheeler Closes Interstate-30 In Garland
GARLAND (CBSDFW.COM) - The westbound lanes of Interstate-30 in Garland were shut down early Tuesday morning after an 18-wheeler overturned along the highway. The crash happened just before 3:30 a.m. near Zion Road.
The truck was carrying medical supplies, but nothing toxic. A small fuel spill was cleaned up quickly, and the 18-wheeler was righted at about 6:30 a.m. with the help of tow trucks. Authorities on the scene have not said what may have caused the 18-wheeler to overturn.
The highway is expected to remain closed until 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, so morning travelers are advised to plan ahead and seek alternate routes.
